Luke 9: 29

The fashion of his countenance was altered.

The Greek reads, "The appearance of His face was different." A better Englishtranslation than the quoted one above would be "His face changed its appearance." The literaltranslation is not found in the Old Testament but does appear in Rabbinic Literature.

The versions generally agree, but a few have flourishes which give a slightlydifferent meaning.
