Crishna's Contributions to Christianity

Introduction

From time to time I am asked my several to recount the similarities between Crishna andYeshua as found in the New Testament. This is always difficult for many...for this news hitsthem like a brick....let me say that truth is paramount...where ever you find it...and G-ddesires we have truth over emotional fiction...is our beliefs are in error...we need torepent...we could be wrong...and unless you have investigated such matters for yourself...letme strongly advise that you don't react out of emotionalism..but out of intelligent conviction. Before this information is recounted...listen to this: faith is justifiable only when somethingcannot be determined by knowledge. The information that is in this and the following articlecan be determined by study and the knowledge is available...nobody is making any thing up..itis the Gentile redactors of the NT who did that...so for the many who asked about suchsimilarities...I give you them...blessings..and may we all return to the real faith once givento the saints...and find our places as g-dfearers in the Israel of G-d.

Did the New Testament Writers Pattern the Lifeof Yeshua After Pagan G-ds?

I can hear most of you now saying: "What a stupid question; of course not; the New Testamentis inspired, infallible, and inerrant; does Pastor Craig not know this?". Well, before youthrow this article in the trash let me advise you, and I say this humbly, that my study andscholarship in these areas over the last fifteen years far eclipses most and it would do youwell to listen to the evidence amassed in this series of articles.

Answer for yourself: Let me ask you something; "Do you want to know the truth before youdie"?

Some of you won't and some will. Let me say that if the truth is not important to you andyou really don't care if you live a life obedient to G-d then throw this article down rightaway! If you think your relationship with G-d should be built upon the truth He gave mankindand not the traditions and "camp-fire stores of pagan Gentiles" then you need to seriouslyconsider what I have to say and take a deep breath as you confront the most challenginginformation you have ever read.

Let us now concentrate on the nature of this "pious fraud" to which the Church fathersthemselves confessed. The startling and little known truth is that the Gentile redactors andauthors of the New Testament noted the far reaching influence of the "god men" Krishna (ninthcentury B.C.E.) and Buddha (sixth century B.C.E.), both of whom had millions of loyal followersat the beginning of the common era, and simply reworked these legends to incorporate Jesus. This is a startling statement which can be proven beyond any doubt by just a little seriousinquiry into the facts! Such facts line the shelves of our libraries but who studies thesedays; let alone spends hours reading comparative religion?

Answer for yourself: Who needs to study; surely not Christians, for after all, have you notas a Christian been assured since childhood (brainwashed) continually to believe you have thetruth and the rest of the world does not?

The sad fact I realized during my Pastorate, using the skills developed in Seminary forintense study of Biblical sources, over time I uncovered alarming facts and "truths" that shookmy "beliefs" to the core. I discovered such alarming truths that "corrected" much taken onfaith alone that I came to the uncomfortable position that the Body of Christ has been luredinto accepting doctrines out of emotional need, not out of intellectual conviction. If you willonly devote a few hours to serious study into this area you will see for yourself beyond anydoubt that many of your "doctrines" inherited from Gentile Christianity are founded solely uponmyths and traditions that find their origin in the pagan religions of mankind. It is comfortingto know however that the "true, historical Yeshua can be found" but only if you search for himin the only religion that G-d gave mankind; Biblical Judaism. Christianity today is nothingmore than another step in the long line of psychological indoctrination and "brainwashing" asthe legacy of the Roman Catholic Church and this is reinforced Sunday after Sunday bymonotonous repetition days and night of lies over and over again to the unsuspecting and theunknowing. If we had only been armed with prior knowledge in these areas then our deceptionwould not have occurred and there would be no need for ministries like Bet Emet who strive tobreak through the "brainwashing" and "anti-Semitism" of centuries to instill the truth aboutYeshua.

Crishna and Yeshua

John P. Lundy, Nineteenth-Century Reverend:
If we may believe so good an authority asEdward Moor (author of Moor's "Hindu Pantheon" and "Oriental Fragments"), both the name ofCrishna, and the general outline of his history, were long anterior to the birth of our Savior,as very certain things, and probably extended to the time of Homer, nearly nine hundred yearsbefore Christ, or more than one hundred years before Isaiah lived and prophesied (John P.Lundy, Monumental Christianity (New York, 1876), p. 151).

J. B. S. Carwithen, Nineteenth-Century Reverend:
Both the name of Crishna and the generaloutline of his story are long anterior to the birth of our Savior; and this we know, not on thepresumed antiquity of the Hindoo records alone. Both Arrian and Strabo assert that The godCrishna was anciently worshipped at Mathura, on the river Jumna, where he is worshipped at Thisday. But the emblems and attributes essential to this deity are also transplanted into themythology of the west (John P. Lundy, Monumental Christianity (New York, 1876), p. 151-152).

T. W. Doane, Nineteenth Century:
In the Sanskrit Dictionary, compiled more than twothousand years ago, we have the whole story of Crishna, the incarnate deity, born of a virgin, and miraculously escaping in his infancy from Kansa, the reigning monarch of the country(T. W. Doane, Bible Myths (New York, 1882), p. 286).

Monier Williams, Nineteenth-Century Professor:
...the religious creeds, rites, customs, and habits of thought of the Hindus generally have altered little since the days of Manu[in 1500 B.C.] (Williams, Indian Wisdom, or Examples of the Religious, Philosophical, andEthical Doctrines of the Hindoos (London, 1875), p. iv.).

George W. Con, Nineteenth Century Reverend:
...Practically, the myths of Crishna seemsto have been fully developed in the days of Megasthenes [fourth century B.C.], who identifieshim with the Greek Hercules (Cox, The Myths of the Aryan Nations (London, 1870), vol. 2, p.138.).

  1. Both were preceded by a "forerunner" born a short time before them (Maurice, Hindostan, vol. 2, p. 316; Luke 1:57.).
  2. Each was born in a city away from home where his father was on tax business (H. H. Wilson, trans., The Vishnu Purana, A System of Hindoo Mythology and Tradition (London, 1840), book 5,chap. 3; Luke 2:1-7).
  3. Krishna was born in a cave (Cox, vol. 2,p. 107).
Jesus was born in a stable (Luke 2:7). However, Quintus Tertullian (third century), St Jerome(fourth century), and other Church fathers claimed that Jesus, too, was born in a cave (GodfredHiggins, Anacalypsis: An Enquiry into the Origin of Languages, Nations and Religions (London,1836), vol. 2, pp. 98-99).
Frederick W. Farrar, Nineteenth-Century Canon: That the actual place of Christ's birth was acave is a very ancient tradition, and this cave used to be shown as the scene of the event evenso early as the time of Justin Martyr (A.D. 150) (Farrar, The Life of Christ (New York, 1876),p. 38).
  4. In infancy, both Krishna and Jesus were sentenced to death by kings who viewed them aspretenders to the throne. Due to this threat:
Krishna's father was warned by a heavenly voice "to fly with the child to Gacool, across theriver Jumna (Mons Dupuis, trans., The Origin of All Religious Worship (New Orleans, 1872), p.134).
Jesus' father was warned in a dream, "...rise and take the child and his mother, and flee toEgypt..." (Matthew 2:13).
  5. One of these kings then ordered "the massacre in all his states of all the children of themale sex during the night of the birth of Crishna" (J. Swain, Asiatic Researches, vol. 1,London, 1801. p. 259).
The other, Herod, "...sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem, and in all thatregion, who were two years old or under..." (Matthew 2:16).
  6. One of both Krishna and Jesus' first "miracles" performed as adults was the curing of aleper (Thomas Maurice, History of Hindostan (London, 1798), vol. 2, p. 319; Matthew 8:2-4).
  7. Urged by Krishna to make a request, a man replied: " 'Above all things, I desire to have mytwo dead sons restored to life.' Immediately they were brought to life and came to theirfather" (Maria L. Child, The Progress of Religious Ideas through Successive Ages (New York,1855), vol. 1, p. 68).
"While [Jesus] was thus speaking to them, behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying:'My daughter has just died; but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live....' But whenthe crowd had been put aside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose" (Matthew9:18, 25).
  8. Either a poor cripple or a lame woman came with "a vessel filled with spices, sweet scentedoils, sandalwood, saffron, civet, and other perfumes, and made a certain sign on [Krishna's]forehead, casting the rest upon his head" (Maurice, Hindostan, vol. 2, p. 320).
"Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came up to him with analabaster box of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head, as he sat at thetable" (Matthew 26:6-7).
  9. Both washed the feet of their disciples (Maurice, Indian Antiquities (London, 1794), vol.3, p. 46; John 13:5).
  10. Both had a beloved disciple (Charles Wilkes, trans., The Bhagavat Gita, or Dialogues ofCrishna and Arjoon, in Eighteen Lectures With Notes (London, 1785), p. 51; John 13:23).
  11. Krishna said: "Let him, if seeking G-d by deep abstraction, abandon his possessions and hishopes, betake himself to some secluded spot, and fix his heart and thoughts on G-d alone"(Williams, Hinduism (London, 1877), p. 211).
Jesus said: "But when you pray, go into your room and close the door and pray to your Fatherwho is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you" (Matthew 6:6).
  12. Krishna said: "I am the light in the sun and the moon, far, far beyond the darkness. I amthe brilliancy in flame, the radiance in all that's radiant, and the light of lights" (Ibid.,p. 213).
Jesus said: "I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but willhave the light of life" (John 8:12).
  13. Krishna said: "I am the sustainer of the world, its friend and Lord. I am its way andrefuge" (Ibid., p. 213).
Jesus said: "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me"(John 14:6).
  14. Krishna said: "I am the Goodness of the good; I am Begin-ning, Middle, End, Eternal Time, the Birth, the Death of all" (Ibid., p. 213).
Jesus said: "Fear not, I am the first, and the last, and the living one; I died, and behold Iam alive for evermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades" (Revelations 1:17,18).
  15. Both "descended" to hell (Swain, Vol. 1. P. 237; I Peter 3:9).
  16. Both "ascended" to heaven before witnesses (Higgins., p. 131; Acts 1:9).
  17. Both are said to have been G-d incarnate:
"Crishna is the very Supreme Brahma, though it be a mystery how the Supreme should assume theform of a man" (Wilson, p. 492).
"Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion; He manifested in the flesh..." (ITimothy 3:16).
  18. Before death, Krishna was pierced with an arrows (Higgins, vol. 1, p. 144), and Jesus witha spear (John 19:34).
  19. Both were crucified:
John P. Lundy, Nineteenth-Century Reverend: I object to the crucifix because it is an image, and liable to gross abuse, just as the old Hindoo crucifix was an idol (Lundy, p. 128).
Thomas Inman, Nineteenth Century Physician: Crishna, whose history so closely resembles ourLord's, was also like him in his being crucified (Inman, Ancient Faiths and Modern (London,1868), p. 411).
  20. When Krishna died, it is said that a black circle surrounded the moon, the sun was darkenedat noon, the sky rained fire and ashes, and spirits were seen everywhere (Child, vol. 1, p.71).
When Jesus died, the sun was darkened from the sixth to the ninth hour, graves were opened, and saints rose and entered the city (Matthew 27:45, 51-52).
  21. Both were "resurrected" (Dupuis, p. 240; Matthew 28:6).
  22. "Krishna will return in the end days as an armed warrior, riding on a winged white horse. He will destroy the wicked then living. The sun and the moon will be darkened, the earth willtremble, and the stars will fall" (Chad ,vol. 1,p.75; Williams, Hinduism, p. 108).
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days [following Jesus' "return"] the sun will bedarkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and thepowers of the heavens will be shaken" (Matthew 24:29).

Can we be honest for just a minute?

Gentile Christianity…..Revelation or Fraud?

Over the years I have at times written what I and many others have considered to be criticalarticles that brought their readers to crossroad decisions in their lives once knowledge wasmade available to them. This article is just more in a series of restoring "truth" to the Bodyof Christ; truth for most possibly for the first time in their lives.

This paragraph as I write it is one of the most important statements I have ever made. Onthe surface it seems so simple but I assure you that the dynamics involved in its contemplationare explosive. I ask that you give serious attention and thought to what I will say and sharewith you in these this article. Such truth has the ability to change your life and deliver youfrom the most darkest and vilest idolatry of which most of your are not yet familiar.

In this article I disclosed the substantial identity of Gentile Christianity as known andpracticed today with the most popular and wide-spread "Pagan" religions of the times, Hinduismand let me say you will see that just as many similarities can be found to relate to Buddah aswell. Both Chrisna and Buddah pre-dates Yeshua by more than 800 years! You might not be aware, and I find that the vast majority of Christians are not, but Hinduism and Buddahism wereseveral of the foundations used to contruct the New Testament image of Yeshua by the Gentileredactors of the New Testament!

But first ...

What Is Revelation ... And Is Christianity BuiltUpon Revelation?

"The essence of Revelation lies in the fact that it is the direct speech of God to man,"says the Holy Ghost speaking through the Vatican 18 (1870). Now for a simple truth that Ibelieve every reader can accept. I want you to read the following statement several times. Letit sink in. Understand the depth of what is being said and implied for if you cannot agree withthe following statement then there is no reason to continue the article.

"When Pagan myths already current and long known to everyone for hundreds and thousands ofyears can be later found to be foundational to many dogmas and doctrines held sacred inChristianity because they are held and believed to be unique revelations from G-d, then Divinerevelation and inspiration cannot be appealed to for the origin of the Christian Faith and itsteaching and must bring serious doubt to such doctrines and dogmas within Christianity asstemming from G-d…but sadly now understood as pagan copies."

"Revelation may be defined as the communication of some truth by God to a rational creaturethrough means which are beyond the ordinary course of nature. The truths thus revealed may besuch as are otherwise inaccessible to the human mind—mysteries, which even when revealed, theintellect of man is incapable of fully penetrating".

The Decree 'Lamentabili' (.3 July, 1907) declares that the dog-mas which the ChristianChurch proposes as revealed are 'truths which have come down to us from heaven' and not 'aninterpretation of religious facts which the human mind has acquired by its own strenuousefforts"' (Vatican Decrees, 1870; Catholic Encyclopedia. xiii, 1.) And, asserts the sameCatholic Encyclopedia: "The existence of revelation (as in the New Testament) is as reasonablyestablished as any historical fact"! (CE. xiii, 607.) This statement is the most incrediblelie ever uttered in the history of mankind.

Divine Revelation is thus of things not previously known and which the revelationless mindof man is incapable of acquiring or inventing by its own efforts. Now I accept this statementas true for it is reasonable and makes sense. Divine Revelation rests thus upon the sameprinciple as the Law of Patents and Copyright. A book published, that is made known and givento the world cannot be the subject of subsequent copyright even by its author. When an application for a patent is presented, the first act is to search the records to ascertainwhether a similar art or article (truth) has ever previously been known and in use: if so, nopatent can be obtained: the thing lacks novelty.

The exact same principle applies to "revelation". So exactly with "revelation": if someimpostor or deluded person (e.g. Mohammed or Joseph Smith) claims that he has received apersonal—and therefore necessarily private—"revelation" from some god, the only way whereby he can get a valid patent of authenticity and credibility for his "revelation," is to provethat its subject-matter has never before been known and in credulous circulation; the momentthat from the search of the records—of other, or comparative religions,—it is shown that thesame proposition has been previously known and current, in use and practice among some otherpriestcraft and its votaries—the thing is no revelation: the claim is a fraud.

We have just seen how this indisputable rule worked when we applied it to GentileChristianity and saw if there were similarities to pagan relgions that pre-dated the"revealtion" of the Christian faith. Any thinking believer saw for himself that Christianity"copied" prior traditions attached to Chrisna for the foundational stories of Yeshua in the NewTestament. This is fraud! In doing so we proved beyond any doubt that the Christian Faith isNOT to be considered Divine unique revelation to mankind and worthy of trust and faith for theworld to come! Instead it is little more than the reiteration of prior pagan beliefs and is notto be trusted for truth or preparation for the world to come. The answer to such an inquirywill always was seen to prove Christianity was anything but a uniquely Divine and G-d breathedrevelation as it is attested; in reality it was exposed as anything but Divine but ratherpagan whereby then you would be better served to return to the faith once given the Saints;Biblical Judaism.

Conclusion

I want the truth about the Historical Yeshua. I want to know what he believed, how he lived, what he valued, what he put his faith into, etc. But as you can see much of the New Testamentis less than honest in its presentation of Yeshua to the reader. These are but stories and atmost are harmless. But more importantly, if the New Testament can be shown to be full of errorsin describing Yeshua, how truthful is the New Testament in its depiction of religious dogmasand doctrines as espoused by Paul and other as put into the mouth of Yeshua? Can the teachingsof the New Testament be "trusted" and how comfortable do you now feel putting your faith intoteachings and doctrines affecting belief, conduct, and behavior as described in the NewTestament without first checking them out for yourself? It is possible that you can be a NewTestament believer and die and meet G-d and stand ready for the biggest Cosmic rebuke you canimagine because you never "tested the spirits" in the New Testament and were never "Bereans"who studied daily to see if these things "be so"? You better get ready for that is what isawaiting the vast majority of Gentile Christianity today who follows a pagan Yeshua and neverknow it. The time is now to study and repent! It is time to expose the paganism masquerading asGentile Christianity and G-d forbid you die in such deception. Let your faith be in fact andnot in emotions build off fables.
